Singing

I work in a day nursery 2 days a week, often staff will just start singing a child's song or a nursery rhyme, it creates such a lovely atmosphere, especially when another member of staff picks up on it and through the building singing can be heard, encouraging the children to join in.
So sing to your children it's a lovely pastime.

I think that singing is a great way to spend quality time especially when facilitating in a day care. It brings such a serene atmosphere and calms children a lot. For children in the toddler stages, singing invokes the maternal influences and brings a state of nurture. This is something that i strongly believe in.
